Three Bee Honey Volume 1 by Desi St. Amant and Jon St. Amant

by Leave a Comment

Three Bee Honey Volume 1 by Desi St. Amant and Jon St. Amant (illustrator) is a cute story with a little edge. The edge is that there is a bit of depict happening within the bee hive, and the queen is unaware. So far, the worst things that have happened is that the girls have gotten caught in a spiderweb, almost got eaten and of course, escaped; our main character has been well… something happens to her but I don’t want to give spoilers, and there […]

Not to say you won’t find a meaning, but also not saying you will

Drome by Jesse Lonergan

Drome by Jesse Lonergan is one of those reads where you have to read it to understand this book. And if you do read it, can you tell me what the heck (only I didn’t say heck) did I read? Okay, I get that things have something to do about the Gods and Humans and their struggle with each other. Control and strength are main factors. And Man-Woman relationships play a large role in things. There is also the literal Light and Dark (I am […]

They came from outer space

Comet Club by Yi Yang and Jamie Richards

The graphic novel, Comet Club by Yi Yang and Jamie Richards (translator) is a mature, slightly off beat, interesting story. I sit here, typing up a draft for my review and think, “What can I say?” Sure, I can tell you that a handful of misfit kids find each other through their belief in UFOs. They even have a school club that lets them partake in their interest. It stems from the more popular boy (who is still off beat and not the most liked […]

Her First Mistake by Kendra Elliot

Her First Mistake by Kendra Elliot

Her First Mistake hits the broad strokes of a romantic suspense novel, but it’s just honestly a 3 star read. I just found myself getting confused through so many timelines and then changing perspectives. I am curious enough to read the second book in this series, because I wonder if Elliot is able to course correct on this one. There was just so much information spewed our way and I do wonder how she’s going to marry up Noelle finding out the truth about a […]

Platform Decay by Martha Wells

Oh, our little SecUnit has emotions now, a lot of them. Though the start of the book was really slow (and honestly I was so confused about what was going on) once the plot became clear (rescue humans) and then rescue some more humans, Wells didn’t let their foot off the gas. We have our fine murderbot with friends and emotions and he’s going to make sure no one hurts their humans. I honestly laughed a lot through this one, especially when a tiny human […]

King of the Pirates or something like that

One Piece, Vol. 1: Romance Dawn by Eiichiro Oda

As you know, occasionally I need a change of scenery on the weekends. So instead of looking at, working with and reading books at work or home, I go to the library to look at and read books and I have been known to straighten a section. And when I do, I never know what will come of it. I usually get in some fun people watching or listening (on this trip I heard this tiny voice, “Where are the chickens?”), looking at titles that […]
