Thank you, thank you, thank you! I received a Kindle copy of the celebrity memoir This Will Only Hurt a Little the day before Christmas, and a follow up package with a Hogwarts mug that looks like a cauldron (y’all, it’s got little legs/stands) after Christmas. Super excited about both, and I have already started the memoir, and some of her comments are so relatable! Thank you again to borisanne, I know you mentioned some logistical issues (I will definitely pick up Educated!) but it was perfect and thoughtful!
Thank you, CoffeeShopReader! I’ve been meaning to read March ever since I saw John Lewis speak at LA Review of Books in the spring. And I will be able to get all the NightVale references once I read that one. I love tea too and excited to try them all. 🙂
I received The Secret Heart in the Cannonball Book Exchange. It was selected for me by my “romance twin“, Beth Ellen, the fellow reader with whom I most often agree on books. It was interesting. From Amazon: Adam, Earl of Bexley, lives to work. His only relief is the sordid savagery of bare-knuckle boxing. Not women, and definitely not a disreputable, scheming woman who dances in secret with such passion…Caro Small is desperate to escape her selfish family. Her only chance is a good marriage, and she intends to marry Adam—whether he likes it or not. But the more she schemes […]
Thanks alwaysanswerb! I am already reading Issa Rae’s book and gearing up for CBR9. 🙂
ElCicco gives the most awesomest books — and, side note, dark-chocolate covered pretzels are my favorite treats ever! I’m rationing them, though. Thanks so much! (I’ve already started Galileo’s Middle Finger.)
Beth Ellen is the best, most crazy generous Cannonball Book Exchange gift giver! Thank you so much for the Mary Berry book (to be combed through this weekend) and the books I’m sure I will like because you liked them, Beth. I shared some of the cookies with my guys and when I left the room my generosity was translated into them finishing the treats, those bastards! My gift came addressed to my Pajibanym and that NEVER GETS OLD!
