Thanks so much to my fantastic (& patient) Canonballer, the Cheerbrarian, for the wonderful gifts! I’ve loved Richard Osman’s earlier series and have had this new on on my list for a few months; I can’t wait to get started. And “Ink Blood Sister Scribe” by Emma Törzs wasn’t on my radar but sounds right up my alley – thanks for the introduction! She also included a Kindness Diary and an adorable squishmellow because who doesn’t love adorable?!? I’ve never had much luck with journaling […]
Thank you KRussell!
Thank you so much, KRussell! What a lovely selection! I don’t think you can tell from the photo, but the stories in the anthology contributed by my favorite authors are flagged. Very thoughtful. I made a goofy, pleased noise when I noted that. I feel like I’m going to be apologizing to Canadians a lot in the next few years, so let me kick that off by saying, “I’m sorry the US Postal Service is still not accepting packages to Canada. 😭”
Happy Holidays!
Very grateful to my cannonballer for my gifts! Margo’s Got Money Troubles isn’t the kind of thing I normally read but it came highly recommended and I thought it was worth a shot. And I’m happy to have a republished work from the legendary Cornell Woolrich added to my Hard Case Crime collection. Thank you so much! Happy holidays!
Book Mail from Malin!
Thank you so much to Malin for my lovely gifts! I’m looking forward to reading both of them. I’ve heard of The House In the Cerulean Sea but haven’t had a chance to read it myself. The library hold list for it its ridiculous. The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy wasn’t on my radar at all, and it looks like it’s going to be quite fun. I’m going to enjoy diving into both of those. Thank you again, Malin, and happy holidays!
A quad stack of amazing CBR Exchange gifts!
Thank you to my CBR Book Exchange giftee. Please let me know in the comments if these are from you! EDIT: Thank you ElCicco! <3 I love them all and miraculously don’t own any of them yet. My dog Oliver is very interested in reading these with me.
Thank you, CoffeeShopReader!
Thank you for the wonderful package of goodies! The second half of 2024 has required lighter reading, with romance and cozy vibes. I’m looking forward to continuing that trend with a YA sapphic romance that features mystical creatures. The journal is adorable and my puzzle loving 16 year old has already made off with the fidget puzzle. I look forward to trying the various warm drinks while reading. It also gave me the chance to use a personalized book embosser that I was just gifted:)
