Christmas come early! Thank you, Bonnie!

December 24, 2015 by Malin 3 Comments

Yesterday was rather a stressful day for me. I had to go to hospital and have my stitches removed, I had to get a couple of last minute Christmas presents in absolutely heaving stores (Christmas is celebrated on the 24th in Norway), I lost my wallet out of one of my bulging shopping bags on my way home and had to call the bank to block my bank cards (although a lovely lady called me and had found the wallet, so I got that back […]

Thank you, Narfna!

December 22, 2015 by badkittyuno 4 Comments

Thank you for the books, Narfna! I’ve had A Clockwork Orange on my TBR list forever but have never gotten around to reading it. And while I’ve never heard of Golden Boy, it sounds exactly like the kind of thing that I’d like. Can’t wait to try these both out!

Goodies!

Book Exchange Goodies from Crystalclear

December 20, 2015 by HasenKlub 1 Comment

I want to send out an enormous “THANK YOU!” to CBR’er CrystalClear for the wonderful book exchange gifts. I love them! Dan O’Brien is an editor over at Cracked.com, but he used to have a weekly column that I very much enjoyed. His writing was largely irreverent, geeky, nerdy, juvenile, etc, but he also has an incredible fascination with US Presidential history. I have been wanting to read this book for a long time. I read Ned Vizzini’s “It’s Kind of a Funny Story” sometime last […]

Mange tak!

December 19, 2015 by tillie 1 Comment

Seriously the CBR community is the best. Not only did I get this wonderful selection of books, but I also got a really thoughtful card, in my own language no less. AND a wonderful candle that claims to smell of old books – it must be true, because it smells absolutely delightful! I’m really looking forward to reading and reviewing these books. Still, I have exams coming up, so currently they’re brigtening up a desk buried in school papers. It’s hard to tell from my blurry picture […]

Book exchange goodies from MsWas!

December 18, 2015 by narfna 2 Comments

Received a happy surprise when I got home from work today. I read the first book in this series this year for CBR7 and loved it. I’m so excited I have the next three all ready to go for CBR8. Thank you so much, MsWas!!! You’re the best 🙂 (P.S. I am obsessed with these covers. I wish they had continued making the series with them instead of the ones they do now. They’re so purty.)
