Books are the best gifts!

December 18, 2016 by yesknopemaybe 3 Comments

Many thanks to Malin for spoiling me this year. So excited to have a hardcopy of The Hating Game which I read and loved earlier this year (I’m so behind on reviews ya’ll). It’s a book I know I’ll be rereading whenever I need a pick-me-up. Fingersmith and The Princess Bride have been on my to be read list for literally ages so I’m thrilled to get my hands on those for 2017. Thanks again!

Thank you, thank you Scootsa1000!

December 15, 2016 by Ellepkay 2 Comments

I received a fabulous package today: Shelley Freydont’s A Gilded Grave, which I have been dying to read, as well as the sequel A Golden Cage!  (And a lovely bookmark too – yay!)  I have been on a big mystery reading kick lately, and historical mysteries are my particular weakness.  Thank you Scootsa1000!

GIFTS!

December 15, 2016 by sistercoyote 2 Comments

ElCicco gives the most awesomest books — and, side note, dark-chocolate covered pretzels are my favorite treats ever! I’m rationing them, though. Thanks so much! (I’ve already started Galileo’s Middle Finger.)

HUZZAH for the Book Exchange and for Beth Ellen!

December 13, 2016 by Mrs. Julien 3 Comments

Beth Ellen is the best, most crazy generous Cannonball Book Exchange gift giver! Thank you so much for the Mary Berry book (to be combed through this weekend) and the books I’m sure I will like because you liked them, Beth. I shared some of the cookies with my guys and when I left the room my generosity was translated into them finishing the treats, those bastards! My gift came addressed to my Pajibanym and that NEVER GETS OLD!

Thank you to our most lovely exchange coordinator, faintingviolet, for my new books :D

December 9, 2016 by narfna 5 Comments

I came home from a poop day at work to a book exchange package from Katie (faintingviolet) and it made my day. I legit squealed when I opened the first book and saw Wishful Drinking. And I’ve been meaning to read Austenland and start Sandman for yearrrrs. (Although, I will confess that I’m actually super intimidated to start Sandman.) Thank you so much, Katie! And thank you for organizing this beautimous tradition.

I remember enjoying this one. And you’ve reminded me that I have an arc for the third book.

I haven’t read this one but I got sucked into vampires early, probably around 2nd grade with a kids series...
