Class Act reminded me of The Hate U Give, in that we have a protagonist who is attending a school with predominantly white, privileged classmates. Last year I did a Patrick Radden Keefe double-header: Say Nothing and Empire of Pain. It was… a doozy. Keefe writes incredibly well (he’s got a slew of awards to prove it) and excels at deep dives into larger-than-life personalities.
