Making a Friend is a clever pun. As Beaver is good at making a lot of things (slides, stripy socks, a lodge) but he is not good at making friends. Oh, he tries, but it never works out as he hopes. So, unpopular opinion time: I hate Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I hate that the message of the story is that it’s totally fine and acceptable to make fun of and ostracize someone for being Different until you need them.
