Funny Famous People (CBR11Bingo: Birthday)

Congratulations, Who Are You Again? by Harrison Scott Key

The Greatest Love Story Ever Told by Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman

Yes Please by Amy Poehler

Bossypants by Tina Fey

Funny celebrity memoirs — definitely one of my favorite categories. I might be stretching the definition of “celebrity” with Harrison Scott Key, but his was my favorite so I’m grouping it in here. Also, god bless Amy Poehler — her birthday is September 16th and she’s my Birthday square! (five stars) Congratulations, Who Are You Again? by Harrison Scott Key Harrison Scott Key wrote this great book I read earlier this year — The World’s Largest Man. It won a lot of prizes. It also […]

Ron and Tammy Two

The Greatest Love Story Ever Told by Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman

May 28, 2019 by Caitlin_D 1 Comment

Like most red blooded Americans I am a huge fan of Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally both as individual actors and as a couple. The duo are best known for their respective portrayals of Ron Swanson & Karen Walker but throughout the years they’ve become synonymous with #CoupleGoals and for good reason. The Greatest Love Story Ever Told is an oral history of their lives together and is probably best enjoyed in the audio-book format. I actually don’t know how this would work on paper, I’m […]

“When we can be introverts together”

The Greatest Love Story Ever Told by Megan Mullally & Nick Offerman

April 14, 2019 by Carriejay Leave a Comment

Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman have been together for 18 years. They’ve become a beloved ‘showbiz couple’, partly due to their down-to-earth-ness and their love of puzzles. So how do they do it? How have they kept love and passion alive all these years, especially given the crazy nature of their day jobs? The book is told mostly through conversations between the two, which can be a little hard to get used to in the beginning (and it wasn’t what I expected cos hey, I […]

It really is, y’all

The Greatest Love Story Ever Told by Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman

March 28, 2019 by lowercasesee 1 Comment

I was only a few chapters into this book when I started brainstorming ways to gift it to my fiance without coming off as patronizing. Giving a relationship book to your partner is … tricky (especially when your partner isn’t a big reader). It’s a wonderful, delightful book with some truly fantastic insights into relationships and specifically long-lasting, healthy relationships. And our relationship IS flipping amazing. I just loved this book. Anyway, I’ll figure it out. If you couldn’t tell by the cover, this is […]
