Another Ilona Andrews series has stolen my heart

Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews

White Hot by Ilona Andrews

Wildfire by Ilona Andrews

Diamond Fire by Ilona Andrews

December 28, 2021 by teresaelectro 6 Comments

I discovered Ilona Andrews through Felicia Day’s book club. We read the first Kate Daniels book, Magic Bites. I didn’t quite get hooked, but Cannonball Read made me want to read more. Thanks to Malin, Emmalita, and Jen K for convincing me. I know you didn’t have to twist my arm! I had always planned to read their Hidden Legacy series. I even bought the most recent book last year. It wasn’t until Malin gifted me the first two books for the CBR12 book exchange that […]

If You Aren’t Reading Ilona Andrews, You Should Be.

Emerald Blaze by Ilona Andrews

November 4, 2020 by Emmalita Leave a Comment

I read this MONTHS ago and now I’m going to try to write a review, but there are two important things: If you have read Emerald Blaze, please join me in a squee for how excellent this was. I am so looking forward to the next book, even though it has been delayed because it’s hard to be creative when the world is falling apart. If you have not read Emerald Blaze, I assume you haven’t read the Hidden Legacies series and I must ask, whhhhyyyyyyyyy not? If […]

Sapphire Flames: A Hidden Legacy Novel by Ilona Andrews

Diamond Fire: A Hidden Legacy Novella by Ilona Andrews

September 11, 2019 by Emmalita Leave a Comment

Sapphire Flames was a nice way to return to the Ilona Andrews fold. I was unhappy with the final Kate Daniels book and stopped reading Ilona Andrews for many months. I did buy the novella, Diamond Fire, but I was still too mad about Magic Triumphs to really get into it. When Sapphire Flames was released, I reread the novella and then dove into the novel. And then I went back and reread White Hot and Wildfire. I would not suggest trying to read these books […]

Surprisingly fun

December 21, 2017 by Sophia 5 Comments

I didn’t come into Burn for Me (2014) by Ilona Andrews (a husband/wife writing team) with very high expectations. Although I like romance, especially suspense and action-oriented romance, I generally don’t like magic. Fantasy is not my go-to genre. But I saw a review on Cannonball, needed something to read, and tried to be open-minded. Burn for Me is Book 1 of the Hidden Legacy Series, which includes three books–all of which I read shortly after reading this one. Because I don’t know how to classify books, I […]
