Grave Destiny is the sixth book in Kalayna Price’s Grave Witch series. In this world, witches and fae exist. Alex Craft grew up a witch but discover she has a secret magic heritage. This book is all about her figuring more about her special powers and solving yet another mystery in the faerie realm. A noble is murdered and made to look like the Shadow court is involved. Love triangles, magic, and murder

Grave Visions by Kalayna Price

Grave Ransom by Kalayna Price

December 30, 2019 by teresaelectro 3 Comments

It’s official. I’m totally hooked on Kalayna Price’s Alex Craft series. This was a given after I reviewed books 1-3. The follow-ups, Grave Visions, and Grave Ransom did not disappoint. Alex Craft is a grave witch. Her magic skill allows her to interact with the plane of the dead. She can see talk to ghosts and shades, which are manifestations of a dead person’s memory. Talking to the dead is quite handy if they’ve been murdered. Alex opens a private detective firm with her best friend […]

I Can Always Use A New Urban Fantasy Series

Grave Witch by Kalayna Price

August 5, 2019 by Jen K 1 Comment

After I saw teresaelectro’s review of the first three novels in the series, I figured this would be right up my lane.  Despite that I was rather pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this initial entry.  Even some of my favorite urban fantasy series have struggled to find their footing in the first novel, not really hitting their stride till book two or three, such as the Kate Daniels series and even the October Daye series.  While I know there is much more to […]

Alex Craft, Witch Detective

Grave Witch by Kalayna Price

Grave Dance by Kalayna Price

Grave Memory by Kalayna Price

June 24, 2019 by teresaelectro Leave a Comment

As soon as I saw Grave Witch by Kalayna Price in The Ripped Bodice bookstore, I knew I’d probably love it. The series is about Alex Craft, a grave witch who consults with the Nekros police. Her grave magic allows her to raise shades. Not to be confused with ghosts, shades take the form of the body just before it died and contain the soul’s memory. This is a pretty handy skill to have the victim’s shade testify in their own murder case. Grieving relatives hire […]
