Okay so, the version of this I added to my audiobook queue actually turned out to be the audio drama version, which I was not expecting. Thus there’s a chance it’s a bit different than the printed version due to the fact it was all told in dialogue. However, I will definitely say if you can get your hands on the audio drama, grab it. The voice acting was great and had some decent talent behind it (including Haley Joel Osment and Stephen King). […]
You Can’t Run from Your Past
“Running ain’t nothing I ever had to practice. It’s just something I knew how to do,” explains Castle “Ghost” Cranshaw from Jason Reynolds’s National Book Award finalist Ghost (2016) when he comes across a track practice on his meandering run home from school one afternoon. A seventh grader, Ghost also has “a lot of scream in him” that has resulted in many altercations at school that have put him on a path to delinquency. Read the full review.
I somehow accidently read another ghost story – this one was better though!
Ok, so when I was searching for this book on Amazon to add in the link and the picture, I found something a little creepy. This author has a cute / slightly haunted / lost looking girl on all of her book covers: I immediately thought “did I put in the wrong book title?”, or “does this book have alternate titles?”. They meet when she moves back to her hometown, accidentally runs over his dog (who didn’t die, relax) and discovers he is her new next door neighbor. GUESS WHAT HAPPENS? NO, GUESS! Katie: First impression: it’s a frakking Nicholas […]
George asked her to write a ghost story
This book was written by Gillian Flynn, who you might all know from writing that book that nobody read, “Gone Girl”. JK, I’m pretty sure everyone read it. She actually wrote this book because George R.R. Martin (author of those other books that nobody read – A Song of Ice and Fire) asked her to write a ghost story. It’s really short. I think I read it in about an hour, which was pretty awesome. We originally get introduced to the main character as a […]
