Nik Sharma is an auto-buy author for me. I think he is one of the most interesting people writing about food today.  Veg-table is more contained, and a little less daunting than The Flavor Bible, but it isn’t less exciting. This might be the first cookbook I’ve preordered; I’m pretty sure that I actually ordered it months ago, and forgot when it was supposed to come out. Bingo 20: Landscape As the cover (pictured above) suggests, this book is about Canada (see wooded landscape in mists) in terms of food (it’s part cookbook) and character (it’s part excerpted prose bits from travel and fiction stories, and photography collection too). I didn’t recognize Nik Sharma’s name when I requested to review The Flavor Equation: The Science of Great Cooking Explained, but a few minutes of research reminded me that I have enjoyed his cooking blog in the past – A Brown Table.
