The way I dropped everything to listen to this when my ARC request was approved.

Extra Witchy (Fix-It Witches, #3) by Ann Aguirre

December 28, 2022 by narfna Leave a Comment

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC. It hasn’t affected the content of my review. I really like this series. There’s bits about it that I would tweak if I could, but overall this is a really well put together contemporary magical romance series, and I like where she’s taking it. I hope there are more books. I feel like there will be with some of the side character stuff going on in here. This book follows Leanne, the driven political witch, who […]

You’re still the person who crossed a room to pick me out of the crowd.

Extra Witchy by Ann Aguirre

Ann Aguirre’s Fix-it Witches series is doing some really interesting things within the contemporary small town romance genre. In Extra Witchy, Aguirre puts two characters who would typically be side characters in the middle of the action. Leanne is the ambitious career woman and Trevor is the stoner slacker who lives in his parents’ basement. In Witch, Please, their bathroom hookup at Danica and Clem’s party was a source of amused befuddlement, (though not unkindly because Ann Aguirre doesn’t do unkind). In another romcom, they […]

A witch and a witch-hunter, sitting in a tree . . .

Boss Witch (Fix-It Witches, #2) by Ann Aguirre

30 Books in 30 Days, Vol. 2 Book 21/30 Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audio ARC. It hasn’t affected the content of my review. I liked this better than the first one! By quite a bit. The romance was very nice. I liked both Clem and Gavin, and thought they had lovely chemistry. The book really took off though when the non-romantic plot got going. I’m glad to say that the fact that Gavin is a witch hunter is not wasted, at […]

Magical love in a small town

Witch Please (Fix It Witches #1) by Ann Aguirre

December 28, 2021 by teresaelectro 2 Comments

I can’t say no to a witch-y romance. I liked Ann Aguirre’s Grimspace, so it was a no-brainer to pre-order Witch Please. I had planned to read it in time for The Ripped Bodice book club. Alas, life got in the way. I did finish it up during the Thanksgiving break. This small-town romance brings together baker Titus and secret witch Danica. Danica lives with her cousin Clem. Together they own a local repair shop where they can practice their special magic to fix broken things. […]

Titus smiled, “I met the woman I’m going to marry.”

Witch Please by Ann Aguirre

I have been looking forward to Witch Please for months. I love Ann Aguirre’s books. She has gotten me through the last two years with some parts of my soul and sanity intact. On top of that already solid reason, Courtney Milan said she read Witch Please months ago and, well, the blurb is right there on the cover: “Sheer happiness in a book…”  How can you argue with that? You can’t. Fortunately, I got my hands on an arc and I have read it […]
