Haiku Cats by C B Fraser

August 19, 2026 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

One two three four five You will get some fabulous Cat hilarity   When you read Haiku Cats by C B Fraser.   Okay, that is not the best haiku ever written (but hopefully not the worst…).  But regardless, if you like cats then you NEED this adorable, cute, clever, fun and perfect for all types of cat and poetry lovers book. In the 5/7/5 syllable haiku pattern we learn the nature of the beast of the toe beans and purrs.   Oh sure we […]

Pandemic Project Worthy Pies

Pieometry by Lauren Ko

December 30, 2020 by CoffeeShopReader 2 Comments

This is probably my last review of the year 2020, and I’m glad it’s a pretty good one. I should also note that this is a review of a cookbook that I have not made any recipes from yet. I plan to start tomorrow, but by that point it may be too late to review for this year. I have however read the whole thing, so I don’t feel too bad about that. One reason I want to review Pieometry for 2020 is that in […]

I have no idea what I’m doing

Exhibition Design by Philip Hughes

February 11, 2019 by tillie 4 Comments

Say you get a new job, one that’s your dream, but also that you’re grossly under-qualified for. You have limited experience, it requires you move to a different country and you basically have a month to do it. What would you do? Buy a book? Well, congratulations you’re 100% like me. Also you will buy this particular book because you liked the cover. #GoodChoices. This book is not the bible of exhibition design it’s a low-stakes introduction, a sort of ‘which-one-where-does-what’ of exhibition design. I […]

Finally Fantastic Art

April 3, 2018 by kittenkong42 Leave a Comment

Final Fantasy XV was a video game that was almost a decade in the making. Initially planned by Square as Final Fantasy Versus XIII back in 2007/2008 over time it was adapted and reworked to become the first game in the long running series for the new generation of consoles in 2016. As with any game in this series it had it’s fans and those who hate it because it changed everything again. People should really get to used to that as no two games […]

There are good doors and bad doors.

January 16, 2017 by tillie Leave a Comment

I have this thing with doors. I find doors tricky, especially the automated and revolving kind. I live close to a mall with a small set of revolving doors, slowly they go round and round and you’re walking up the doors adjusting your walking speed according to the perceived speed of the current revolving of said doors. Then just as you reach the doors, they speed up making it so that I must always sort of jump into the revolution as if it were a […]

Get it For the Photographs

March 5, 2015 by ASKReviews Leave a Comment

This is a book I’ve seen in a few different higher-end design stores. It seems like the kind of thing that Anthropologie would stock (shoot, maybe they do); I happened to get it at one of those houseware shops that stocks things according to color. We are lucky enough to be heading to Paris at the end of the month, so I felt justified in buying this book. Written by a journalist and photographer, this book feels more coffee table book than guide book. The […]
