Sweethearts and Savages: Eden Academy Book Two by Grace McGinty

by Leave a Comment

I just finished Sweethearts and Savages, the second book in Grace McGinty’s Eden Academy series. I really want to talk about this book in particular, and not just because it is sort of the culmination of all of her other works to this point. They’ve all been driving to this destination. You could read this one without having read any of her other works, but I wouldn’t recommend it – a LOT of world and character building has gone into these. Like many romance authors, […]

OTT everything, with the Jeff Bezos song as a Soundtrack

Kings of Quarantine: A Dark High School Bully Romance (Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep Book 1) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

Kings of Lockdown: A Dark High School Bully Romance (Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep Book 2) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

Kings of Anarchy: A Dark High School Bully Romance (Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep Book 3) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

Queen of Quarantine (Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep Book 4) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

This quartet has been all over my Kindle Unlimited recommendations as well as SmutTok. I was hesitant to give it a try – for while I seem to have an enormous weakness for romances featuring alphaholes (Hey, Kristen Ashley and JR Ward, I’m looking at you…), I’m not a huge fan of bully romances. And Kings of Quarantine, Kings of Lockdown, Kings of Anarchy and Queen of Quarantine all live up to their tagline: Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep. It is a finger scorching, reverse […]

Thoughtful Dark Romance

Crow (Boston Underworld Book 1) by A. Zavarelli

Reaper (Boston Underworld Book 2) by A. Zavarelli

Like so many of my reading choices lately, I began the Boston Underworld series by A. Zavarelli after seeing the first Book, Crow, recommended on SmutTok. So, please forgive me, but I’m going to start this review with a bit of a detour:  If y’all aren’t on TikTok and following those hashtags, I really recommend your at least considering giving it a try. I now follow a combination of romance authors, book sellers, and readers with similar interests. They often provide interesting insights about their […]

A VERY NSFW MUST READ

Claimed Harder by Em Brown

Y’all. Y’ALL. I don’t know what I was expecting when I began Em Brown’s Claimed: A Dark Mafia Romance, but it wasn’t this. The meet cute goes as expected. Bridget, a 20-year-old college student with a passion for doing good and zero concern for fashion, is dragged along by her friend and roommate Amy to an exclusive night club. Darren, the owner of the night club, is aghast when he sees frumpy Bridget in his club where everyone is dressed in their best clubbing attire. […]
