Don’t look back.
This is only the second volume in The Unwritten series to get less than five stars from me, but I think that might be only a preference thing. This is still a great piece of this story. This was a terrible book.
I mentioned in my review of the first volume of Grounded that I hadn’t read a Superman comic since at least 1997, so this series being my first in that span of time is in retrospect, a tragedy. This book is not good. It makes me question whether or not they even make Superman comics that are good. In case you’re curious, and too lazy to Google it, “Alis Volat Propriis” is Latin for “she flies with her own wings.” I think that’s lovely.
