Bothari43 has been very kind to me this Book Exchange season. She sent me three ebooks – Anna Zabo’s Syncopation (sorry about your search algorithm), Tasha Suri’s Empire of Sand, and Lois McMaster Bujold’s Beguilement (The Sharing Knife). In addition to that largess, I now have a lovely cephalopod print and a 5 year daily journal of questions and answers. I am so excited!
Thank you, Leedock!
Thank you, Leedock! Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and Everlost: Book 1 of the Skinjacker Trilogy by Neal Shusterman would have been awesome enough. But you also included this fantastic mug! I’ve always loved this phrase, “I’m not a Book Worm, I’m a Book Dragon”. I consider dragons to be my spirit animal. Here is some of my collection. Thank you so very much! Congratulations on your cannonball this year, best wishes for a lovely holiday season, and good luck on 2020’s cannonball read. Warm Regards, […]
CBR Book Exchange! Thank you!
I’ve been doing the Monday through Thursday travel work model the last two months, so it was a nice surprise to pull into the driveway after a four hour drive and long work day to discover my CBR exchange package waiting on me! Super excited to read these, and like, ardaigle, I am a huge fan of Out of Print and will definitely be making use of the pouch! Thank you very much, ardaigle! Also, I have never said this before, but whenever I read […]

It’s a lovely part of our community here at CBR and a great way to get to know a fellow Cannonballer a little bit better. Those of you […]
KatSings has introduced me to a wonderful fantasy series
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
I’ve been in a bit of a fantasy slump lately, and I must admit I was a little worried when I got this in last year’s Cannonball Book Exchange. It was a lovely thoughtful gift – what if I didn’t like it?? Thankfully, it appears my slump may be over, because I enjoyed it immensely. Kell is an Antari – a person with powerful magic in a world where magic is not as plentiful as it once was. There are four worlds, and four Londons, […]
A beautiful, melancholy story from my Book Exchange buddy
The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton
I have a friend who likes to loan me sad books, and when I finish one and say “OMG that was sad!”, she’ll say, “I know, but wasn’t it SO well written?” I have a feeling that my friend and KatSings would get along well. My Book Exchange buddy got me this lovely, sprawling book, which is beautifully written and has an air of pervasiveness melancholy about it. I adored it anyway, and I appreciate that KatSings got me to read something that would not […]
