Thank you! I’m so excited to add to my Murderbot Diaries collection and I get a new book to discover. Sure, I already have Artificial Condition as an ebook and an audiobook, but what if the internet disappears, or, more likely, I don’t have access to wifi and I need the wit and wisdom of SecUnit? I’ve heard of Ross McDonald, but haven’t read any of the classic mystery writer’s work. I’m looking forward to finding out more about “one of the most intricate plots […]
CBR15 Holiday Book Exchange Sign-Up
The Holiday Book Exchange is closed! Each year Cannonball Read holds a (completely voluntary) Holiday Book Exchange, and we’re happy to continue the tradition this year. It’s a lovely part of our community here at CBR and a great way to get to know a fellow Cannonballer a little bit better. If you are able to join us in the fun of sending books we are excited for you to join our bookish end of year celebration. Whether you have posted zero reviews or more […]
Thank you to Aviva!!!!
I am starting 2023 out, not with a review, but with a thank you!!! I was heading out the door when the Amazon delivery man dropped off these awesome gifts–A Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers and a really cool “I Love Science” discovery journal. The pens and the sticky notes were an added bonus! Thanks to Aviva for these thoughtful gifts. I read A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet a few years back precisely because so many CBR folks were […]
Thank You, LanierHgts!
I’m excited to read both of these. I love a good series and I haven’t read either before. These may be some of my first reads in 2023. Great choices and thanks again, LanierHgts!
Thank you S.S.!!!!!
I was so delighted with my holiday exchange package, I don’t know where to start! I am excited to read the books you sent, especially because they are completely new to me and they are your personal recommendations. The blank journal was a bonus (and you’re right, all avid readers have a collection!) I wasn’t sure of your screen name, so forgive the initials in the title. A huge thank you for such a generous gift.
Thank you, Liz!!!
Liz (tiny_bookbot), thank you so very much! These arrived a few days ago, and it’s taken me a minute to post because I got lost in reading right away. These wonderful books are both right up my alley, and I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Happy holidays to Liz, and to all you other ‘ballers!
