CBR12 Book Exchange: Thank you Malin

December 19, 2020 by teresaelectro 1 Comment

Thanks Malin for sending me a new Ilona Andrew’s series to read! I read and reviewed The Edge series because of you. Excited to read another that comes highly recommended by cannonballers. And even better, you ordered from my second home, The Ripped Bodice.

My goodies from my Book Angel. Thank you to Mobius_Walker. It’s a snuggle baby kitty! And one awesome looking book of poetry. Can’t wait to have a cup of goodness!

Cannonball Book Exchange 2020 Thank You Dome’Loki

December 13, 2020 by The Chancellor 3 Comments

A big thank you to Dome’Loki for these awesome books!  I’ve had my eye on Six of Crows for a while now.  My students have devoured it and keep telling me I need to read. I’ve also had adults give it rave reviews.  Gideon the Ninth recently came on my radar when my sister-in-law recommended it to me. It sounds like it’s going to be different from what I normally read, but I’m always excited to read something new, especially when others have read it […]

Seasons’ Greetings and Happy Holidays! Thank you, KatSings!

December 13, 2020 by Mobius_Walker 5 Comments

Fresh off the joyful CBR Zoom in which I got to chat with other book nerds and put some faces to names, I opened my door to a package. The only thing it could be a book as part of the CBR Book Exchange. Double the Cannonball Read fun in one day! Thank you to KatSings for this book and for purchasing it from a local Houston bookshop! House of Leaves is at the top of my TBR list for 2021 and will likely be the […]

Thank You So Much, crystalclear!!!!

December 12, 2020 by andtheIToldYouSos 2 Comments

I am so excited!!!! The wonderful crystalclear hooked me up with my two greatest weaknesses: series and CANDY! I’m going to start Storm Front right after I post this message, The Light in the Ruins looks RIGHT up my alley (were you in my brain?), and I am going to hide the treats before Rufus takes them- right now he is VERY interested in the VERY COOL 3D card! Thank you for a wonderful first Book Exchange, and I’ll be wearing those socks at the party today!

Book exchange from ardaigle

Many Thanks to Ardaigle!

December 10, 2020 by MsWas Leave a Comment

We’ve had all kinds of deliveries lately for the holidays, but I was super psyched to see ardaigle’s name in the return address this morning. Finally a present just for me! And inside was The Assassination of Brangwain Spurge by M.T. Anderson & Eugene Yelchin, 11/22/63 by Stephen King, and the cutest little bag that’s shaped like an old checkout card! Readers alike will love it. Top it off with a bookmark and sticker and I’m in heaven! Thank you, thank you, thank you, ardaigle!!   […]

I remember enjoying this one. And you’ve reminded me that I have an arc for the third book.

I haven’t read this one but I got sucked into vampires early, probably around 2nd grade with a kids series...
