Wrapping up CBR14

January 27, 2023 by MsWas Leave a Comment

Cannonball Read, Inc. became an official 501(c)(3) organization in 2022, and not only that, we topped that milestone by reaching, and then exceeding, the $10,000 mark in our total donations to the American Cancer Society. We’ve read over 27,000 different titles and written more than 49,000 book reviews. I’m in awe every day at what folks are writing…  Read the full wrap-up at Pajiba.com […]

Our Latest Donations to the American Cancer Society

December 30, 2022 by MsWas 5 Comments

Friends, I post today to announce our latest donation of $700 to the American Cancer Society. I must admit that it’s bittersweet to write about the good news of the donation right along with the sad news of who we honor.  Jennie Baxla (baxlala) was a Cannonballer from the very beginning, and we made a donation in her memory today. You can still read her wonderful reviews and add her book recommendations to your own TBR list. We welcome In Memoriam donations if you would […]

Please Support Cannonball Read Today for #GivingTuesday

November 29, 2022 by MsWas 8 Comments

Thank you so much to all of our donors on Giving Tuesday this year, we exceeded our goal and raised $626.00! Though I don’t write reviews for CBR, I’m definitely still reading—this year I’ve put a double Cannonball on my Goodreads “Read” shelf! And so, on this Giving Tuesday, I’m donating 50¢ per book I’ve read in 2022 to Cannonball Read! Who’s with me? How many books have you read (and/or reviewed!) this year? If you’ve completed a half Cannonball, that’s 26, would you […]
