Proud Pride

This Little Rainbow: A Love-Is-Love Primer and Pride 1 2 3 by Joan Holub

Pride 1 2 3 by Michael Joosten

This Little Rainbow: A Love-Is-Love Primer and Pride 1 2 3 are not pushy but are at times can be borderline. Joan Holub’s This Little addition with Pride leaders is good but feels a bit advanced for the board book reader. And Pride 1 2 3 has been done before, so it feels like the subject is being pushed. Now both are a few years old, therefore, it might be a case of at the time they were fresh, but now I have read so […]

Nursery Rhymes and Shakin’ your Groove thang!

Dinosaur, Dinosaur, Say Good Night by Tiger Tales

Babies Around the World: Dancing by Tamara Barker

April 19, 2021 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

A few months ago, a friend had her third Munchkin. I have known Mama Munchkin since the day before she turned two. Therefore, it was natural for me to give books as a baby gift. One of the books I found for Munchkin the Third was Dinosaur, Dinosaur, Say Good Night. […]

Good night, sleep tight, don’t let the aliens bite

Good Night Solar System by Adam Gamble and Mark Jasper

Good Night Astronaut by Adam Gamble and Mark Jasper

April 17, 2019 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

Adam Gamble, and Mark Jasper have created two more board books in the “Good Night” series. This time they deal with a popular subject for many children: space. With the help of Andy Elkerton on illustrations, Good Night Solar System gives planets a turn at helping a space-crazy child to sleep. The same repetitive text slowly builds up to one big goodnight for the solar system, lulling the child (hopefully to sleep). If not, you can try again with Good Night Astronauts and with illustrations […]
