Quick Questions with a Cannonballer: yesknopemaybe

April 17, 2017 by MsWas 12 Comments

Cannonballer yesknopemaybe took some time out of running the Cannonball Read Tumblr page to answer a few questions for us. How many times have you participated in CBR? I did one review for CBR5 and then stopped because I was paralyzed by writing anxiety. Finally for CBR7, I said fuck it and signed up again, willing myself to not care so much and just write. Has being a participant changed the way you read? If so, how? It’s definitely influenced my reading list. I finally […]

March stat round-up!

April 4, 2017 by ingres77 20 Comments

We are on fire this year. Each of the last three months has surpassed the corresponding totals from the previous three years. And vel veeter is reading and reviewing at a record pace (the previous record for fastest to reach 128 reviews was janniethestrange, achieved on July 6, 2015. janniethestrange would go on to review 230 books that year.) On with the stats! March stats: 446 reviews (last Mar. saw 312 reviews; this is the third highest month of all time, behind Jan. 2017 and […]

Quick Questions with a Cannonballer: ElCicco

March 28, 2017 by MsWas 15 Comments

How many times have you participated in CBR? I started with CBR4! So this is my 6th year, which is hard to believe. Time flies when you’re reading. I used to see Pajiba posts in my FB feed and especially enjoyed the book reviews. I thought it would be good for me to write about the books I read because I’d seen an article about warding off dementia by keeping your brain active with reading and writing. So far so good! Has being a participant […]

February stat round-up!

March 4, 2017 by ingres77 14 Comments

Last year was a great year, and I had lots of fun. I marked a person best for books read, and I upped my participation here by starting the database. I don’t know if I’ll read as many books as I did last year, but I plan on continuing being the resident stat guru. And we’ve had an incredibly prolific month! It was hard keeping pace with your reviews. Anyway, on with the stats! February stats: 431 reviews (last Feb. saw 365 reviews, which was […]
