Now that we’re (more than) halfway through the year, it’s time for the second quarter database update. I’m not going to lie, though, I kind of forgot to do this. That’s the bad thing about not doing this every month, I guess. You kind of get out of the habit of it. And I kind of miss doing the more in-depth posts, but I just don’t have the time for it. Sorry about that, everyone. On with the stats! Monthly review totals: January – 416 (3.68 average) February – 316 (3.72 average) March – 355 (3.55 average) April – 380 […]
Check out what the participants of CBR10 have been reading in the first quarter of 2018. Which were the most popular books and authors? Who has read the most books so far? Ingres77 crunches the numbers and tallies up the totals in this stats recap.
I’m still alive! Almost three weeks into CBR10, and I’ve finally updated the data for both December and CBR9. This year end post won’t be as…..long as last years, but I think the information is presented better. As has been established, we’ll be doing something different for CBR10. I’ll be getting some help, and we’ll be updating less often. Hopefully, you won’t enjoy the updates any less, though. On with the stats! December stats: 510 reviews (Last month: 217) Average rating: 3.79 stars (Last month: 3.71) Most popular book: The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard and Hunger: A Memoir […]
For those who didn’t see last months post, I’m not going to be continuing the stat updates in this manner next year. It’s simply become too time-consuming for me. I’m going to be limiting my updates in either scale or frequency which has yet to be determined. Note from MsWas: Have thoughts about CBR stats, standings, comparisons, or percentages? Then submit your opinions in this survey […]
For over a year, ingres77 has been graciously volunteering a lot of his time writing posts with very detailed monthly statistics about the previous month’s reviews. While these posts are really popular, it has become a very time-intensive task, and so we are asking you to help us figure things out for 2018. Please fill out our brief survey […]
So, I’ve been struggling to get these monthly stat round-ups out the last few months. I’m really sorry about that. I know this isn’t the most important thing in the world, but some of you look forward to them, I think. Part of my problem was a lingering illness (which I can’t seem to shake), but part of it is, predictably, time constraints. As you can imagine, this is very time consuming (though, I do enjoy it), and it’s far from my only hobby. Beyond that, I do have a full time job and a family. All of which is […]
I’m so sorry for the massive delay! I’ve been crazy sick for the last month, and am still racked with a pretty bad cough. I am proportionately behind on my reviews (and, to a lesser extent, my reading). Doesn’t look like I’ll be hitting my planned double Cannonball. Sorry again, you guys. I am alive, and I haven’t abandoned the CBR. Per request, I’ve started a Google spreadsheet that can be edited by anyone who follows this link. So far, I’ve only uploaded CBR8, but I’ll go back and add CBR6 and CBR7. I’m used to Excel, and I haven’t […]
Per request, I’ve started a Google spreadsheet that can be edited by anyone who follows this link. So far, I’ve only uploaded CBR8, but I’ll go back and add CBR6 and CBR7. I’m used to Excel, and I haven’t really played around with Google spreadsheets, but the document can be sorted and edited without much trouble (I think). If any changes are made, please make some notation in the first column so that I can update the master database. So feel free to participate as much (or little) as you like. On with the stats! August stats: 227 reviews (Last […]
