Hi, bjornsnipe! Thank you so much for agreeing to participate in the Quick Questions with a Cannonballer series. Congratulations on your recent Cannonball! How did you find your way to the CBR community? My mother reads Pajiba, and saw a mention of CBR and decided to lob the URL at me. Apparently my insatiable need to read no matter where I am or what it is needed to be channeled into better outlets than keeping a list on my computer and venting at her about […]
Quick Questions with a Cannonballer: going analog with G.D. Giant
Hi, G.D. Giant! Thank you for agreeing to participate in our Quick Questions series. Would you please tell us a little bit about yourself and how you found your way back to Cannonball Read? A little bit about me; I am an avid reader and an avid gardener. I live with the love of my life in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. He and I don’t have any kids, but we have several nephews and a couple of nieces nearby. I participated in Cannonball 9 […]
Quick Questions with NatalieH: All Aboard the Magical Mystery Tour
Hi, Natalie! Thank you so much for agreeing to participate in our Quick Questions Interview series. To get things started, would you please tell us how you found Cannonball Read, how long you’ve been participating, and what your favorite part of it is? I’ve been a lurker over on Pajiba for years (probably since around 2013 or so?), so I’ve known about CBR for quite some time, and occasionally read the reviews on it. I didn’t join the community and start writing my own reviews […]
Quick Questions with genericwhitegirl
Hi, genericwhitegirl! Thank you for agreeing to participate in the Cannonball Read getting-to-know-ya. (And for providing such great responses to the pre-interview questionnaire.) Since this is a community of people reading and reviewing books to help kick cancer’s ass, it seems only right that we start with your favorite book or books. You mentioned that while you’ve really enjoyed the Children of Time series by Adrian Tchaikovsky, Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders, Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde, and Ella Minnow Pea by […]
Quick Questions with a Cannonballer: a Classic mystery
Hi, Classic! Thanks so much for agreeing to participate in our interview! I see from your Cannonball Read profile that you’ve been participating in and off since CBR 9. How did you find us? I used to post on Pajiba, and reading Pajiba Love, I saw that there were often book reviews and I started to read the reviews that were linked. There were more CBR commenters back in those days, and I think it was Ms. Julien who told me about CBR and how […]
Quick Questions with Cosbrarian: Fairy Tales Are F*cked Up
Thanks for joining us today, Cosbrarian! We’re so excited to talk about your book, but we’ll get to that in a minute. For those of the Cannonball Read community that are new, would you please tell us how you found us and how long you’ve been participating? I was invited to join Cannonball Read when I was a more active Facebook member on the Pajiba community group. That was back in 2019. I have participated for several years, though I took some time off around […]
