If you are looking for a whimsical, meditative, sweet, sentimental, quirky hostess gift with abstract realism for images that are boldly bright, minimalist and a few black and white illustrations tossed in for fun, you need Little Doodles for Big Feelings by Liz Karcewski. I read this book (I am assuming it is a smaller size, like books you find at the checkout counter of a bookstore) as a reader copy online. It is due later in October 2026 so it is perfect for the holidays. You can give it as a stocking gift, as a hostess gift, or a little something to help with the stresses of the season. But it also could be a baby shower gift for the mom, a graduation gift, a sympathy gift and pretty much anything else you can think of. Including a gift for yourself.
No, I am not yelling to the rooftops about how wonderful this book is, but I am knocking on the windows saying, “Hey! Do you need a nice, contemporary ideal book for that certain something that needs a bit of mindfulness in their day?” It has lines like “let it go and flow” and “little earth me” so, you know it is a bit perky in its presentation, but that’s cool.
It’s also pretty funky as those images inside really are a hoot. They are sweet, punchy and the book is relaxing and gets you up and moving. While the book was not really “for me” I really enjoyed it and know that it could be a big hit with the right audience. Which I would lean towards being adults with more mature teens.
At first blush, how does this work for cbr18bingo Bingo Craft? It is creative, and that’s all Crafts are to me, something you create. Someone created fun images to go with personal growth and self-esteem commentary.
