I was first introduced to Martha Wells through the reviews of Emmalita – it still took me too long to get there, but once I started the series, I read each book in very quick succession. I wanted to like Witch King so much more than I did. It’s got some good characters (maybe a few too many though), good premise, but the pacing and sense of time are so off.
