This is book 2 in the Brooklyn Bruisers series, and coming right out of the gate I enjoyed it way more than book 1. If you’re already a Sarina Bowen fan this book will not disappoint you. Blonde Date (2014) is a sweet novella by Sarina Bowen. Bowen uses the Ivy League setting and characters we already met in The Year We Hid Away. Less romantic and more just tragic
I read the first of Ms. Bowen’s new True North series earlier this year, Bittersweet. It was okay. I skipped her second in the series because recovering drug addicts getting together with ex-girlfriend, whose brother he just happened to kill, aren’t exactly my thing.
