I was pleasantly surprised to find myself enjoying Sally Thorne’s The Hating Game. It had that sexy back and forth, love-hate thing going. 2.5 stars. Oooh, I really wanted to like this one so much more than I did. I, like many other Cannonball readers, LOVED The Hating Game a few years ago and had high expectations for 99 Percent Mine. This was a bit rough (you can tell she struggled to write it, and Darcy as a character sort of reflects a little of that desperation), but I thought it was charming and entertaining, maybe moreso because of that roughness.
