National Library Week in the US runs April 19-26 and the theme is Find Your Joy. At Cannonball Read, we love libraries of all kinds. Without libraries, many of us would have access to fewer books and resources. This year alone I’ve checked out crafting books, cookbooks, and a book about Malcolm X’s legacy. I’ve listened to 135 hours of audiobooks, gone to crafting workshops, and used their meeting rooms for community building.

The Stopping Place by Marden Dahlstedt
How many books have you hung on to since childhood? As the daughter of a librarian, my answer is, “not many.” I did hang on to my Scholastic Book Club copy of Marden Dahlstedt’s The Stopping Place, from fifth grade though.
