July 14, 2022 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

It is how the little creatures go crazy and eat other things. And jump around. And basically, have a wild rumpus gone way wild. It is about the larger animals doing the same thing. Bunch of goodies

Green on Green by Dianne White

I Believe I Can by Grace Byers

Everyone's Awake by Colin Meloy

An Ordinary Day by Elana K. Arnold

The Blue House by Phoebe Wahl

If Neruda could write about an onion, my poems are not that out there….

Ode to an Onion: Pablo Neruda and His Muse by Alexandria Giardino

June 30, 2020 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

While Ode to an Onion: Pablo Neruda and His Muse might not be my favorite book of all time, it is one of the first book in a while that I have truly loved. A book that I felt in my gut. I got engrossed in this book in a way I have not in some time. And it is “only” a picture book and not some “thoughtful novel.” It is a thoughtful picture book. The prose of Alexandria Giardino is a poem as it […]

on A family can be two sisters, one of those sister’s descendants, two other sisters, a magic whale, a sentient island, an omnipotent museum, and academic papers
Made a mistake - there's no 'the' in the title. And the book had me at the cover too.
