Whoa, Nelly, I have such mixed feelings about this book. Part of me wants to give it five stars for sheer scope and ballsiness, and the magnitude of the ideas he’s working with here. The first book in the series, The Three-Body Problem, is one of the most popular books in Chinese according to wikipedia.  The Three-Body Problem was the first Asian novel to win the Hugo Award for best novel.  I read it at the end of last year and waited a few months for the next two to become available.  I was able to listen to books 2 and 3 back-to-back which was really nice.
