It’s about fated mates who meet during an intergalactic dating show that is also a cooking competition.

Alien Love Games: The Tasty Bake: Sci Fi Alien Romance (Mated to the Bolans Book 2) by Kyra Keys

Double Dirty Mountain Men: An MFM Menage Romance (Get Dirty) by Parker Grey

CBR16 Bingo: Smash These books smash genres (intergalactic alien dating via a cooking reality show) and the characters, ahem, “smash.” If it’s not obvious, I chose these books for their over-the-top titles. When work is stressful, I unwind often with a cozy mystery. Vivien Chien’s Noodle Shop mysteries really hit the spot. Last year, I reviewed the first novel, Death by Dumpling for CBR 13. The series follows Lana Lee and her family’s noodle restaurant in the Asia Village shopping center. She stumbles upon a murder and helps the cute detective, Adam, solves the case. It’s a similar formula in the next two novels in the series. It was easy to go back into the series months […]

I have previously reviewed Volume 1 and a combined review of Volumes 5 and 6 in the series.  Kitchen Princess starts with the main protagonist, Najika, changing schools to find her flan prince.  A boy that saved her life by offering flan and hope when Najika was at her darkest after becoming orphaned at a young age.  She was raised by Hagio-Sensei in Lavender House, a group home for orphaned children in Hokkaido, Japan. Najika has a natural talent in the kitchen.  With one taste […]
