Let me start out with a BIG sigh of relief: WHEW!!!! That was a CLOSE one! In a story where a 14 year old girl is introduced to sex, drugs, and rock and roll things could have gone quickly and irreparably off the rails- especially with blurbs on the jacket comparing Mary Jane to Daisy Jones and the Six and Almost Famous! Dawn and the Impossible Three is a comfortable read for an adult and a good read for a kid aged 10 to 13 about rules, making limits, family and dealing with friendship woes. Gale Galligan has adapted the Ann M. Martin original Babysitters Club book, the graphic novels have the feelings of the years the book was set in during the novel.
