I waited way, way too long to review these properly (my MO for this entire Cannonball), so my scattered impressions are these: º Sarah J Maas has a real talent for world-building and concepts. Book two is definitely the highlight of this series, but this is a pretty good ending.

This actually reminded me a lot of the ending to Throne of Glass; I had similar issues with it. But ultimately, this was a pretty good finish to the series. This was compulsively readable, and it is by far the most I’ve ever enjoyed anything Sarah J. Maas has written (previously that dubious honor went to the third Throne of Glass book, which now that I come to think of it, this book is very similar to).
