I love to read and would love to be able to talk about the books I read with a lovely community. I read almost anything and really struggle to talk about the books I love the most for some reason.

Claudia's Reviews:

I guess here is an ok place to start

January 20, 2018 by Claudia 10 Comments

So its weird but I feel like I have to explain myself before I start reviewing here. I get really nervous doing these posts and I have no idea why. This is my third attempt at cannonball and every year I fail. Not because of the reading, I usually get that done but because of these reviews. I get kind of caught on the idea that no one cares about my opinion and worry that I will say something stupid. Its silly but….anxiety is a […]

‘And Ninjas’ probably would have been too long, no?

January 19, 2016 by Claudia 5 Comments

This book isn’t going to be for everyone. That is super abundantly clear. A look on Amazon reviews has an equal rating between 5 and 1/2 Stars reviews. I can imagine its rather polarizing to Austen fans as well as humor fans. I however, kind of got a kick out of reading about Liz Bennett wanting to chop off Darcy’s head for insolence. Once Upon a Time…in book form

January 16, 2016 by Claudia 2 Comments

This rather silly but fun young adult series did a great job at distracting me during a difficult time last year. My car was stolen and my boyfriend purchased several books from Sam’s Club to keep me from panicking. Cinder, the first of the Lunar Chronicles was one and I found myself shockingly drawn into the series. An Asian cyborg Cinderella who turns out (SPOILER) to be Princess of the Moon with psychic powers (like everyone on the moon has of course)? BONKERS but totally […]

January 16, 2016 by Claudia 10 Comments

This is my first review of a book ever, so please excuse my mess. I also managed to read five other books before I found the time to review this one, so I’m a little lost in my initial agitation but really I had to wash the bad taste out of my mouth. I picked up The Corrections in a determination to finish the best books of the decade last year, and guess what? I didn’t finish last year. Because I kept putting this book […]

on A family can be two sisters, one of those sister’s descendants, two other sisters, a magic whale, a sentient island, an omnipotent museum, and academic papers
Made a mistake - there's no 'the' in the title. And the book had me at the cover too.

You had me at the cover, and then everything else you said.
