I think this might’ve been a random Amazon Kindle find. I can’t quite remember how I got to it. I get books from so many different sources, but I can’t remember anyone recommending this to me, so it was probably Amazon!
Our main character Caitlin Sommers wakes up in a parking lot in a car she doesn’t recognize, covered in blood. She has no idea how she got there, where she is, or what she did. She does however remember *who* she is. Caitlin drives a few hours home to her husband, who is surprised to see her, as she was missing for seven months!
Caitlin has no memory of the previous seven months, and her husband doesn’t know where she went or what happened to her either. They decide to follow some clues they find in the car she drove there and end up embroiled in a lot of shit. It turns out she has gone by several different (although not that far off from her current) names throughout her life. Caitlin, her husband, and her boyfriend from her mysterious seven months spend the rest of the book trying to find out what the hell happened. There are murders, kidnapping, near murders, some light larceny, and lots of snark from the boyfriend. I’m not sure if he was supposed to be the favorite character, but he sure was mine! He basically took all the madness in stride and wasn’t ever an asshole to Caitlin. I think I gave this 3.5 stars because there were some unbelievable moments, but I still liked it.
