Bless, I used to gobble these books down like chocolates back in the day. It was just so comforting to check in with the residents of Cedar Cove. My re-reads haven’t been that great though. This at least took my mind off of anything pressing and I just went with it though I thought the plot was way too obvious. I forgot about the whole thing with Linette and Cal dating.
I do think this was the beginning of me not really loving the series anymore. This one had I think about 5 separate plot points with Linette, her mother, Alison, Rachel, etc. it was just a mishmash of people and issues that seemed to take forever to resolve.
I read this for Cannonball Read 14:
- Cozy: Cozy mystery, cozy sci-fi, domestic fiction, domestic history, or a book that warms your heart.
- This is definitely a domestic fiction series that has huge fans. I would say that some people have argued is this really romance since Macomber bless likes to do the whole fade to black thing with regards to love scenes. I know a lot of people were disappointed when she stopped this series.
