Bad Kitty Does Not Like Thanksgiving is like all the Bad Kitty books. Therefore, if you are a fan of Nick Bruel’s title kitty you will laugh and laugh. You will think the naughty holiday antics of Bad Kitty beyond funny. If you are not a Bad Kitty fan, you will sit there and wonder why this bad cat (and I do not mean in the cool and fun way) has been written about at all.
My reader copy did not have them, but the cover teases that stickers will be present in the mid-July release. Therefore, you can read and play along with Bad Kitty as she goes along trying to get the one thing she does like about Thanksgiving: The Turkey (not that I blame her to be honest, but I still go with pie myself). But in the process Thanksgiving dinner loses a few key ingredients and hopefully Bad Kitty learns her lesson about sharing.
You can continue the Bad Kitty Holiday celebrations in the picture book format with Bad Kitty: Searching for Santa which will grace book shelves in mid-to-late August of this year. This time, you will be able to have a colorful poster to add to your Kitty Collection as Bad Kitty sings, “I fought the Santa and the Santa won”. Well, not exactly, our Bad Kitty must walk by all the pretend Santa’s who are asking, not so subtly, to GIVE. (Even the Santa with fleas)/ And because of that she misses the real Santa. But Santa does not miss Bad Kitty on Christmas Day.
