Well, at least I didn’t ugly cry this time…..

Viewfinder by Christine D. U. Chung

All the points I have for this book, Viewfinder by Christine D. U. Chung and Salwa Majoka are for the illustrations. The wordless story is sometimes a smidgen hard to “get the exact story” (as each person will add their own twist), but overall it is a sad, yet hopefully, even beautiful story of how one Earth-like world (or Earth itself) has drastically changed. There are more words in the publisher description than the whole book

Baboon! by Pau

April 27, 2022 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

Comment one: There are more words in the publisher description, or this review, then there are in the entire book of Baboon! by Pau/Pablo Marcos, as it is a wordless graphic novel. Comment two: I cannot say it better so word for word the publisher’s description: “After the death of its adopted leopard mother, an orphaned baboon wanders the wild in search of companionship and a sense of identity. Stumbling upon the troop of baboons from which it was originally stolen, the baboon falls in […]

on A family can be two sisters, one of those sister’s descendants, two other sisters, a magic whale, a sentient island, an omnipotent museum, and academic papers
Made a mistake - there's no 'the' in the title. And the book had me at the cover too.
