Kicking off this year’s Bingo Card with an excellent historical romance

Any Old Diamonds by K.J. Charles

July 2, 2020 by Malin 4 Comments

#CBR12Bingo: Money! Official book description (because I’m still reviewing books I read three months ago): Lord Alexander Pyne-ffoulkes, the younger son of the Duke of Ilvar, holds a bitter grudge against his wealthy father. The Duke intends to give his Duchess a priceless diamond parure on their wedding anniversary — so Alec hires a pair of jewel thieves to steal it. The Duke’s remote castle is a difficult target, and Alec needs a way to get the thieves in. Soldier-turned-criminal Jerry Crozier has the answer: he’ll […]

This is the second book in the Lilywhite Boys series, which follows two con men and thieves in late Victorian London. This series is actually connected to Charles’s […]

Belts and Braces, Beloved

Guilded Cage by KJ Charles

November 13, 2019 by Emmalita 2 Comments

Any Old Diamonds, the first book in the Lilywhite Boys series was one of my favorite reads this year. KJ Charles’ follow up book, Gilded Cage, has been one of my most anticipated. I will try not to spoil Any Old Diamonds too much, because I think you ought to read it, and you must definitely read it in order to appreciate Gilded Cage. Not all is right with the Lilywhite Boys after the Ilvar affair.  Templeton Lane is feeling resentful about what happened during the heist, […]
