This book is almost like OG American Gods. Not really, but it does share the kind of mythopoeic qualities of gods and goddesses of other cultures wrapped a kind of metanarrative/ meta-worldview. A little belated Halloween reading

I’d only ever read one Ray Bradbury book before picking up The Halloween Tree this year. It was Fahrenheit 451 and I read it in middle school as assigned reading, which is quite a bit of time ago.
