So after the events of book two, where John almost gets killed a few times, he activates his escape plan.  John had been cultivating a false identity in Brazil for years in the eventuality that he’d need to get out of Japan and start a new life. Unfortunately, one of the women he met in Japan is actually from Brazil, and she returns home and they start seeing each other again.  She unknowingly (he thinks knowingly) leads them to John, and he’s almost killed again.  […]
