Another Cannonballer recently read The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman (review here), and it sounded like my kind of frothy mystery mixed with real characters. This really hit the spot, and it had a lot more emotional depth than I was expecting from it! I think I was expecting something more on the cozy mystery side of things, something lightweight, and it did have a bit of that feel to it as well.
