Rivers of London Vol. 1: Body Work by Ben Aaronovitch and Andrew Cartmel

August 23, 2017 by borisanne Leave a Comment

It’s been years and years and years since the last time I read a graphic novel, and this may sound crazy, but I was actually a little nervous about whether I’d be comfortable enough with the format to make this transition in the Peter Grant series. Body Work is the continuation of the “Rivers of London”/PC Peter Grant series from Ben Aaronovitch. I mis-copied the info, and I thought that Body Work belonged after Foxglove Summer, but there’s an indication that it comes after Broken […]

Broken Homes by Ben Aaronovitch

More, please. More, more, more. I just love me some Peter Grant. But it’s still a delight and a treat, and I will fight anyone who isn’t a fan. Listen, I have five more “Dark Tower” books to read in the next five weeks, but I still just checked out Foxglove Summer […]

For a terrifying moment I thought he was going to hug me, but fortunately we both remembered we were English just in time.

Moon Over Soho (PC Peter Grant Book 2) by Ben Aaronovitch

April 10, 2017 by borisanne Leave a Comment

Wait, hang on a second. [Looks up how many PC Peter Grant novels there are so far.] [Discovers Ben Aaronovitch wrote a few serials for “Doctor Who,” in the late Eighties. Light bulb.] [Discovers that although the book jackets say “PC Peter Grant Series,” whoever edited Wikipedia last prefers to refer to them as the “Rivers of London Series.” Huh, makes sense. Also: spoilerish.] [Discovers there are 6 “Rivers of London” novels so far, and what’s this, now? 9 spin-off graphic novels? And 4 companion […]
