A Modern Mistake – Millenneagram Misses the Mark

Millenneagram by Hannah Paasch

March 19, 2020 by randirock Leave a Comment

Ugh… it’s such a loaded word, but yes, I am a Millennial. I was excited to check out this book because I love the Enneagram. (I’m a Two.) I thought it would provide some fun insight. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I think this may be a book better suited for Enneagram beginners or younger Millennials. I had a hard time connecting to the tone. Furthermore, I didn’t feel that the information inside was anything that I didn’t already know.  For instance, my Enneagram type in […]

The Enneagram Made Easy by Renee Baron and Elizabeth Wagele

CBR11 Bingo – Illustrated I’ve been a fan of the Enneagram for years, but with its recent popularity rise, I’ve been entering into more and more conversations with friends and coworkers who are starting to explore this for the first time. The Sacred Enneagram by Christopher Heuertz

February 20, 2019 by kella 1 Comment

For those not familiar with the Enneagram, I don’t really want to take up a ton of space with that explanation here. Basically, it is an ancient system of categorizing folks into 9 types. It’s more than a personality test; it focuses on internal motivations, wounds, and passions. It recognizes that the ‘type’ that you are is really a self-preservation mechanism that you learned as a child in order to protect the real you. There is a TON of info out there about this, so […]

Believe the Enneagram Hype

September 3, 2018 by Halbs Leave a Comment

I was skeptical about this book for two reason. When something is trendy, like the Enneagram, I hate it by default. (The first version of this book, to be fair, was from the 1980s.) I’ve also done a lot of introspective exercises in the last few years, and at this point I’m a bit skeptical of more of it.The reason is, at some point I think you have to focus less on yourself and more on the rest of the cosmos. I was mentally primed […]

I think there is more visibility for stories with older and middle aged women. I’m here for it.

I'm really enjoying what feels like an increase in good stories about middle aged women. Maybe they just didn't come...
