It Ends With…Me Not Enjoying This Book

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

February 18, 2019 by Rachel 3 Comments

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover Finished Feb. 17, 2019, took 2  days to read 2 Stars on Goodreads Genre: Romance Rating 8/8 for 2019 overall, 2/2 for Romance I really need to keep track of where I get my book recommendations because I would question the person or blog that suggested I read this book. Apparently, it is part of a genre called New Adult Romance (NA Romance), which seems to be well known on Goodreads. Instead of Young Adult, we have New […]

Mediocre New Adult all hopped up on a Very Special message.

I’ll get this out of the way — I didn’t like this book very much. Explaining why will lead me on several tangents, so before you continue, understand that this is part review and part aimless wandering about random talking points. If you want a straightforward take on this book you’ll have to go elsewhere. I’ll be spoiling major plot points, so be forewarned of that as well. CW: ABUSE I became aware of It Ends with Us when it won the Goodreads Choice 2016 […]

Warning – there will be spoilers in this review. Like, I’m going to tell you how it ends, because I don’t know how else to talk about it. Also, content warning for domestic violence and child abuse. Lily leaves behind a difficult childhood and moves to Boston to start her own business. In the opening pages, she meets a man on her rooftop who is clearly angry and upset about something, and even though they have a “moment”, they never exchange information. Fast forward a […]

You’ll Be Accepting My Apology For Sucking At Life and Not Posting

So yeah, I’ve been away for a long time.  So long in fact that I can’t even remember what review I’m on…but I KNOW that I have to be really close to a Cannonball based on what I’ve read, just not on what I’ve reviewed (edit: I looked back I think my last one was 35…let’s see how  much closer I can get to a cannonball).  I’m breaking the rules and reviewing all the books that I’ve neglected over the past few months…right now.  Who’s […]
