CBR Bingo- Asia/Oceana- BINGO! Where the Wild Ladies Are is a collection of Japanese folk tales retold with a feminist point of view. The tales all have ghosts in them, but they are mostly cute or beautiful ghosts, and not scary ghosts. Written in 1993 and set in 2025, The Parable of the Sower is a frighteningly plausible story about a world impacted by climate change, political breakdown and economic and social inequity. CBR Bingo, Edibles Arsenic and Adobo was a Cannonball book review choice, but I couldn’t get it from the library until after the discussion passed.
