Black Canary is one of my favorite superheroes, but some might call me a casual fan because really it’s Brandon Fletcher/Annie Wu’s version of Dinah that is my favorite – an undercover punk rock singer fighting aliens and protecting her band.  I started reading the Birds of Prey series back in CBRIV and then I learned that Gail Simone didn’t start off writing the series and what I thought was Birds of Prey Volume 1 was actually Volume 3.  And since I’m a completionist, I had to go back and get the real Volumes 1 and 2.
