Jonathan Trooper’s work reminds me of the scene from Chasing Amy where Holden and Alyssa discuss the lack of a market for “hearts and flowers” in the comic industry. He should be more widely read than he is, but there isn’t a huge market for a non-sentimental male perspective on divorce or death.
