Trunk Music (Harry Bosch #5)

February 6, 2017 by Classic Leave a Comment

Well I was up and down about Harry Bosch. I absolutely love the tv series and decided to go back and read these books. The only book I have read out of the series is “City of Bones.” At the time I had no idea it was part of an ongoing series. It was in one of my grandpa’s Reader’s Digest condensed books that included 3 other novels. I recall liking that story and had an idea at one time to see about other books […]

Secrets to the Grave

February 4, 2017 by Classic Leave a Comment

I can honestly say that this book creeped me out a lot. With Hoag setting the first scene with a graphic description of the murder victim, and how our bodies break down after death, I may have been off food for several hours while I finished this book. It seems this days I am destined to read book series out of order. I read book #3 last year, and finally went and bought book #2. I will so just go buy book #1 just so […]

The Title Isn’t That Great, but the Book Rocks

February 4, 2017 by Classic 2 Comments

Please note that I gave this book 4.5 stars but rounded it up to 5 stars here. This was a cute book. Unfortunately I read book #6 first, so I already knew that how this story would end up. I am still glad I read it though. The hero/heroine were great. Though I will say that James heroes all seem to be over 6 feet tall with dark hair. And the heroines always have long hair to their backs practically and wear it in a […]

Not as Good as P.S. I Like You

February 4, 2017 by Classic Leave a Comment

I am so annoyed. I got this book because I enjoyed Kasie West’s other book I just finished, “P.S. I Like You.” This book made me wonder if I made a mistake in thinking that I may have found another YA author to follow. The plot did not make a lot of sense. I did not care for the main character. I seriously wondered why the love interest even kept hanging out with her, because she ran hot/cold towards him and also was rude. The […]

Very Hot Romance

February 3, 2017 by Classic 4 Comments

I liked this book. I think there were a couple of things that could have been improved upon (like Ford not being a jerk because a woman doesn’t want to go out with him) but overall liked this a lot. Hot and steamy romance scenes, with two very compelling leads. We had some interesting secondary characters, and a very nice ending showing our couple going forward. Our heroine in “Suddenly One Summer” is Victoria Slade. Victoria is a high profile divorce attorney (the US Attorney […]

Still No Idea What Is Going On

February 3, 2017 by Classic Leave a Comment

Please note that I gave this 3.5 stars and rounded it up to 4 stars here.  I think I may just wait after I finish the third comic for a full volume to be put together. There are still too many unanswered questions for me to be able to even figure out why there is a schism between Jessica Jones, the Avengers, and Luke Cage. This comic focuses more on Jessica and Luke though which I appreciated. We get some flashbacks to Jessica giving birth, […]
